I am the Lord your God, I am your Parent and you are my child.
I created you, knit you together in your mother's womb.
I have cared for you from the time you were born.
I am your God and will take care of you until you are old and your hair is grey.
I made you and will care for you; I will give you help and rescue you.

Do not be afraid - I will save you.
I have called you by name - you are mine.
When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you;
Your troubles will not overwhelm you.
When you pass through fire, you will not be burnt;
The hard trials that come will not hurt you.
For I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you.
I will give up whole nations to save your life, because you are precious
to me, and because I love you and give you honour.
Do not be afraid - I am with you!

Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore?
Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you!
I have written your name on the palms of my hands.

I have examined you and I know you.
I know everything you do; from far away I understand all your thoughts.
I see you, whether you are working or resting I know all your actions.
Even before you speak I already know what you will say.
I am all around you on every side, I protect you with my power.
My knowledge of you is too deep, it is beyond your understanding.

There is nowhere you could go to escape my love and my presence with you.
If you went up to heaven, I would be there.
If you lay down in the world of the dead, I would be there.
If you flew away beyond the East, or lived in the farthest place in the West
I would be there to lead you, to help you.

You could ask the darkness to hide you
or the light around you to turn into night,
but even the darkness is not dark for me,
and the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are the same to me.

When your bones were being formed, carefully put together in your mother's womb,
When you were growing there in secret
I knew you were there
I saw you even before you were born.

Of all my creation, the sky which I made,
the moon and the stars, which I set in their places.
You are most precious to me.

I have made you inferior only to me.
I have crowned you with glory and honour.
I have appointed you ruler over everything I made.
I placed you over all creation: sheep and cattle;
and the wild animals too, the birds and the fish,
and the creatures in the sea.

You are my child, and I love you
Those who are led by my Spirit are my children,
For the Spirit I have given you does not make you a slave and cause you to be afraid.
Instead the Spirit makes you my child.
My Spirit joins with your spirit to declare that you are my child.

Accept my parenthood and I will set you free.
You will possess the blessings and the Glory which I gave to Jesus,
you will become my heirs; Co-heirs with Jesus.

I love you my precious precious child.
I want to wrap you in my love.
I want to hold you and make you feel secure.
I want to be with you constantly.

I will be with you when you're feeling down.
I want to be there to wipe away your tears.
You are so special to me, I love you.

Isaiah 43 : 1-3; 46 : 3-4; 49 : 15-16
Psalms 8 and 139
Romans 8 : 14-17
1 John 3 : 1]

When God says He has placed us over all creation including the animals, it is meant to indicate that we are unique in our relationship with Him. This is not to say that we should abuse this privelege. We have an obligation to care for that which we have dominion over. It is also not meant to imply that animals are not important to God. His relationship with animals is different from His relationship with humans, but no less important. He has created us different and unique each with our own special purpose.
